Did you whrrl today?  I have been using whrrl for the past couple of months and it has become my new addiction, even more so than Twitter.  I love that you can create a story with pictures and words and automatically send it to your entire Facebook and Twitter network.  Best of all, everyone can contribute whether physically present or not.

I’ve whrrl’d my visits to the mall, dinner dates with the hubs, Disneyland trips, Sparks games, the Michael Jackson memorial at the Jackson mansion and our rendezvous in Las Vegas.

Whrrl is very easy to set up. First you will need to set up a FREE account, either by email, phone or Facebook. If you have an iPhone it is even easier because there is an app for it.

On the iPhone, once you install the software and log in, you can begin storytelling by clicking on the “Begin a Story” button. Fill in your location details and details on who you want to share your story with and then click on the camera or exclamation point icon and start your story. You can either take pictures as you go or pull them in from pictures you already have stored on your phone.

Be sure to click on the Facebook and Twitter icons if you want to publish your story as you are experiencing it.

Just recently they added the option to start your story directly from the website. Prior to this release you were only able to add stories via a mobile device.

Then you would build your story by uploading pictures and adding the storyline.

There are several ways you can use whrrl in business, blogging and life. I’ve seen people use it to report on events, to create how-to videos, record and share recipes, or for just plain storytelling.
