(Before Children).   Well, if you've managed to track down a sitter, or your parents have agreed to keep an eye on your little ones so that you can finally go out together, here are some great date options:

New Year’s Day is never the fresh running start it’s cracked up to be. We’ve been on a diet for like six hours and lost not a single pound. Cleaned for at least ten minutes-maybe fifteen!  And yet, no organizing reality shows have scooped us up to highlight our closets.

By the time the New Year is less than a day old, it always hits me.

Once again, I will not be perfect. No matter how many magazines I read,, it just ain’t going to happen.

Last weekend Disney's much awaited new Princess movie, "The Princess & the Frog" opened in theaters everywhere.

I've been hearing buzz about the first new Disney princess movie in 10 years for months and couldn't wait to see this new fairy tale and meet Disney's first African American princess on film.  Lots of parents have been asking for my thoughts on the movie, so here's the scoop!

We were sent the much anticipated "Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas" holiday special on DVD to review prior to it airing on PBS. What a treat for the kids and Mom! Seriously, you know the kids love a movie when they request to watch it again immediately upon finishing their first viewing! I think I've watched "Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas" no less than a dozen times in the last 3 weeks! It really put all of us in the spirit of Christmas and little George was as adorable as ever.

I confess, I am now officially a Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana fan after viewing a pre-release DVD copy of "Hannah Montana: The Movie" from Walt Disney Home Entertainment. Seriously, I fell hard for the movie, Miley, and even her secret rock star character, Hannah Montana.Within 24 hours of my intro to Hannah, I even bought 2 of Miley’s songs for my iPod – the "Hoedown Showdown Shuffle" and "The Climb." The kids and I groove to these tunes daily and little toddler Kyle begs for more when her songs end and loves handling my iPhone to see Miley’s picture while the songs play.

If you want to know a little about me and my taste in movies, then all you have to do is take a look at the films I’ve deemed as my fave five of all time.  I’m a mom of two who will forever be trapped in the eighties and nineties.  And I’m not ashamed to admit it!

At the top of my all-time favorite movie list is a film near and dear to my heart...Working Girl.  The reason? Sigourney Weaver bears a striking resemblance to my first boss.  Need I say more?
