We've moved the clocks ahead, and daylight is hanging around longer, so why stay in the dark gym or our dreary living room? It's finally lovely outside, time to find some exercises outdoors that can put a spring in our step!

*Warm up. Start off with 5 to 10 minutes of walking, light jogging, jumping jacks or jumping rope. Then perform the following series of exercises all the way through and, if you’re up for more, repeat two to three times.

As moms with little ones we are always on the lookout for ways to exercise that our child can participate in too. There aren't many options for this, but one that I found and have always been interested in is Stoller Strides. A fitness program where you meet up with other moms with the babe in the stroller, socialize, exercise and enjoy the benefits of feeling good and looking great.

On May 1-2, 2010 my friend and fellow Lifetime Mom, Audrey McClelland, will eat, run and blog. She will be participating in a 200 mile long relay race from the Calistoga Beverage Company in Napa Valley, across the Golden Gate Bridge at midnight, to finish on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. 12-member teams run 36 legs (3 legs per runner, 3-8.9 miles each) through 36 cities.  Sounds amazing, no?

Identify your fitness goal. Why are you exercising?  What is your goal- to be fit, to be healthier, to lose dress sizes?  Quantify it, break it down, map it out.  My fitness goal this time around, now that baby #3 is nearing the 1 year mark, to to get BACK to how FIT I was right before I got pregnant.  I want to lose a minimum of ...

Everyone working on losing weight usually comes to the depressing conclusion that it's time to step on the sale.  It's never fun.  NEVER.  It's rarely a number we like, even if we are fit and feeling good, and even if it is, it will still change later in the day, next week, at that certain time of the month.  Our emotions and every mood feel like slaves to that fussy little weighing device.  Some people obsessively weight themselves, every day, maybe even more than once a day.  I have to wonder -- why all the thought on those devilish numbers?
