Project Runway has wrapped it's 7th season and declared a new winner - Seth Aaron Henderson - and while I'm so very excited to finally know the outcome of the show and the season, I sorta feel a little empty inside. The runway is barren, there are no designers tearing through Mood with 30 seconds left on the clock as Tim Gunn looks on sternly, and I even find myself wondering if Michael Kors has cut down on his spray tanning.

"Project Runway" is my favorite show on television. Plain and simple. I get excited for Thursday nights at 10PM like my kids get excited for iCarly to come on. It tops my favorite TV list because I love fashion and "Project Runway" delivers the good, the bad and the downright ugly. The design element of the show is what gets me... you have to have the talent. You have to know how to conceptualize and then work with that mindset. You have to know how to sketch and sew and fit a model.

You see, back in August I had a huge confession to make. Ack! It pains me even to remind you all that until Season 6, I had never watched Project Runway.

I’m a lot of things- fashionista isn’t one of them. So as thrilled as I was to attend the Miramax/Lifetime/Marie Claire Project Runway Party in New York at the end of Fashion Week, I was a bit apprehensive, as well.
Would there be actual Fashion Police? Would designer tags be checked at the door? Would they let my under two-inch heels tap across the floor of the famed Hearst Building? (The greenest building on the planet, thank you very much.)

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is over. Fashion is NYC and NYC is fashion, so it's bittersweet seeing the tent lights go out at Bryant Park. Spring 2010 is all about fun, flirty and (quite honestly) wearable fashions. From bold and bright colors to neutral color palettes. From silk fabrics to a feminine twist on the power suit.
