March is National Reading Month, so how are you celebrating? How about with some fantastic deals on children's books that will stimulate your child and encourage a lifelong love of reading. All of these books have been favorites in our household, and I'm sure your kids will adore them too.

  • Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You? -- This classic by Dr. Seuss appeals to my kids because of the fun sound effects that are used throughout the book. Get the board book version on Walmart.com right now for just $2.65!

  • Goodnight Moon -- Your kids will take delight in snuggling up with this well-known bedtime story and hunting for the elusive mouse on each page. Get the hardback edition of this Margaret Wise Brown book for just $9.90!

  • The Very Hungry Caterpillar -- This Eric Carle book is one of my personal favorites for the colorful pictures and unique layout, and what child can resist the little caterpillar's metamorphosis into a beautiful butterfly at the end? Get the board book edition for just $5.80!

  • The Little Red Hen -- This Little Golden Book Classic not only has a great message about helping others, it was my very favorite book as a child. Share this great story with your child for just $3.99!

  • The Rainbow Fish -- I love the message of sharing with others in this Marcus Pfister Herbert book, and my kids love the colorful watercolors illustrations that are highlighted by the silver sparkly scales. $16.50 is a bit on the high side but a worthwhile investment for this beautiful book.

Of course you don't have to go out and purchase new books to celebrate National Reading Month! Take a trip to your local public library, choose some books, and spend some quality time reading with your chilld.
