Making the Case for Young Children at Disney

Topicsdisney, travel, vacations

It’s always a great debate for families on when they should take the infamous and highly coveted Disney vacation. People always tend to want to wait until the kids are older so they’ll remember it better and will be “easier” to travel with. However, I’ve gone twice with young kids and I’d like to make the case for going sooner, rather than later. (Of course, if possible, I’d prefer the option to go again and again when kids are both young and old!)

And here are my top 5 reasons to bring the little ones to Disney World.  Trust me, it’s worth it!

1. Kids under 3 are free. Need I say more? This is the perfect way to get a younger sibling in without the high park entrance fees.

2. Your photos will be priceless. No pictures are ever as cute as those with preschoolers and toddlers full of glee.

3. The magic of Disney is 100% real for these little kids. Every bit of their park experience really is magical as they believe every character, show, and trick is not an illusion but the real deal.

4. As the kids get older, not only will they not believe in the magic but they’ll have outgrown not only the Princess phase (for the girls) but also they’ll have outgrown the excitement of spotting and meeting the Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald Duck, Pluto, and many more.

5. Mom and Dad’s memories will last forever even if your 3 year old might not remember the thrills 20 years from now.

We’ve been 2 times with what I’d consider younger children. In 2009 we went with my 3.5 year old daughter and 15 month old son. It was incredible. We just recently went again – this time the kids were almost 4.5 years old and just over 2 years old.

Really, I swear you won’t regret bringing young kids to Disney.
