Boon is one of my favorite modern design brands for kids, especially for babies and tots. Boon Inc.’s frog bathroom storage is already a modern classic and their colorful high chair (now also in pink!) is seen in parenting magazines and in TV commercials. One of my family’s favorites is their stuffed animal bag, a great storage solution for all of those stuffed animals - and you can actually sit on it!
This fall Boon Inc. is presenting eleven new products for your child. They have continued their lines of feeding, organization, bath and home décor products that combine functionality with modern aesthetics. Here are the products that especially strike my fancy.
Organization
These products are great even for older kids – or for other rooms in your home than the children’s room!
Curl - The first ever baby shoe tree. How cute is this? Baby shoes are so cute that why not display them? And when your baby is all grown, the tree is perfect for jewelry, scarves, hats and other accessories.
Snag – Awesome powder-coated steel hook with 9 hooks to hang any type accessories. I can’t wait to see this white shelf mounted on a colorful wall, it will pop out nicely.
Peek - Peek is a cool round shaped storage unit that comes in 3 and 6 shelf units and can be grouped to make fun designs. This looks really funky, and again, can't wait to see it in a room.
Stash – awesome modernly designed organizer for any room of your home. You can hang it on the wall or it can sit on the countertop. Perfect for the bathroom, kitchen, nursery, or any room in the house. It comes in two colors, black and white - once again, I think would look great on a contrasting color wall. I also like the possibility of the mulitple uses for this item – get it now for baby products, and use it later in the bathroom.
Dining
Wrap – Wrap and protect your dinnerware and your baby and tot can use the same bowls as everyone else in the family. While I like the plastic baby plates with suction cups, the Wrap takes the basic suction cup plate to the next level – cover your bowl or plate with it and it has the suction cup on the bottom and the Wrap protects the dish when dropped. It’s like bubbewrap for you dishes.
Swig – A sippy cup that grows with your baby. Same cup – use it with no-spill spout or with a straw lid. The longevity of the cup just tripled.
Grass – A drying rack that makes you smile. Really – a drying rack has never been this fun before. The green “grass” is functional and keeps the baby bottles up while drying and the grass is dish-washer safe. Functionality with cool modern design.
Boon Inc. is also introducing two new mobiles for your baby’s nursery. Both colorful and modern!
Fli - A ceiling mounted mobile that comes in two different colors. The mobile has a modern design of a dragonfly, and the dragonfly’s wings can be adjusted.
Peep – A wall-mounted mobile with colorful birds. Safer than crib-attached mobiles.
Some of the new products will be available this fall and for the Holiday season, the rest of them will be available for purchase in the first quarter of 2010.
