Valentine Treats for the Kids, And Adults (Recipe)

Valentine's Day is next week! While we all love Valentine Treats, especially chocolate and cupcakes {at least I do}, it's always nice to have a fun treat that's not packed with sugar. This Heart Shaped Jello does have some sugar, but you can easily use sugar free jello. They are also firm enough to make for a classroom party.

Valentine Jello Treat Recipe:

●        5 boxes {small} Jello, assorted red flavors {I used Cranberry, Cherry and  Strawberry}

●        7 envelopes unflavored gelatin {you will need to buy 2 boxes}

●        Boiling water {6 + 3/4 cups; 5 cups total, 1 cup at a time plus 1 + 3/4 cups}

●        1 can {14 oz} sweetened condensed milk

●        1/4 cup cold water

Directions:

1.  In a small bowl combine Cranberry Jello {or darkest color} and 1 envelope unflavored gelatin, add 1 cup boiling water and stir until dissolved. Pour into a 13×9 glass pan and place in fridge for about 20 minutes, until set but not firm

2.  In a small bowl combine sweetened condensed milk and 1 cup boiling water, stir well.

3.  In another small bowl, add cold water and sprinkle 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin, set aside for 1 minute. Add 3/4 cup boiling water and stir well. Add to milk mixture and stir.

4.  Add 1 cup of milk mixture to Cranberry Jello layer, place in fridge to set, about 25 minutes.

5.  In a small bowl combine Cherry Jello and 1 envelope unflavored gelatin, add 1 cup boiling water and stir until dissolved. Pour over cream mixture and place in fridge for about 20 minutes, until set but not firm

6.  Add 1 cup of milk mixture to Cherry Jello layer, place in fridge to set, about 25 minutes

7.  In a small bowl combine Strawberry Jello and 1 envelope unflavored gelatin, add 1 cup boiling water and stir until dissolved. Pour over cream mixture and place in fridge for about 20 minutes, until set but not firm

8.  Add 1 cup of milk mixture to Strawberry Jello layer, place in fridge to set, about 25 minutes

9.  Repeat with other red flavored Jello using the same method

10.  After all the layers are added, place in fridge and set at least 2 hours

11.  Using a small heart shaped cookie cutter, cut jello

Note: This recipe is not difficult, but be sure to leave yourself enough time.
