Who Knew Camera Bags Could Be this Stylish?

I have a weakness for bags: handbags, work bags, purses, computer bags - you name it, I probably have at least two of them. So needless to say it was only natural for my obsession to pass on to camera bags. To date I now have four tucked away in my closet. The thing I dislike most about camera bags is they are boring and unattractive and scream “I am a camera bag,” just begging for someone to steal.

Luckily I was introduced to and asked to review a camera bag from Jill-e. Jill-e bags are unlike any other camera bag on the market because they don’t look like camera bags. These camera bags are both stylish and functional.

I received the small weatherproof pink patent leather bag with brown croc trim.  Like all of the Jill-e bags, this bag comes with a removable shoulder strap and dual handles. There are plenty of pockets to hold personal items like your keys, wallet and phone. Each bag has Velcro-attached partitions that can be easily moved around to fit your needs. The bag also comes with a small zipped pouch where you can store essential items like money or memory cards. You don’t have to worry about losing it because the pouch is attached to the bag.

Currently I carry my Canon XS, Lightsoop, Lensbaby Composer, Canon 50mm, Tamron 18-200 and Jony Gorillapod in the small Jill-e bag with no problems. The bag doesn’t even fill weighed down with all of the equipment. The small bag is (L X W X H) 14 x 7 x 8 inches and can store 1 camera body, 1 flash and 2 lenses.

The Jill-e line offers a variety of bag styles in varying sizes, from pouches to large rolling bags. These bags boast great colors, including pink, red, bone, yellow, and many more. I love the stylish leather accents - it’s obvious that these bags were designed with female photographers in mind.

In addition to the women’s collection, Jill-e has also launched a Jack collection for male photographers looking to get away from the drab black camera bag.

Jill-e bags was founded in 2007 by two former Kodak executives, who discovered that the camera bag needed an “extreme makeover” to suit the needs of stylish women photographers.

You can check out the entire Jill-e collection at www.jill-e.com. Jill-e designs is offering Free Shipping and 10% off on all products from now until Christmas!
