Once upon a time, there was a girl who traveled a good bit on business trips. She considered herself to be a stylish woman, and she actually made a bit of a living by helping others to live up to their fashion potential. One day, this woman was invited to a conference in a far away land (we'll call it Las Vegas) and off she went, two suitcases trailing behind her - one for shoes and accessories alone. While at the conference, this woman was invited to a dinner party, which she agreed to attend. The dinner turned into an event of epic proportions and length and by the end of the night, her feet were killing her. While waiting to hail a taxi to take her back to her hotel, she decided she couldn't take any more ... and took off her shoes.
You read that right. This woman took off her shoes, rode back to her hotel, and walked through the lobby of her hotel into her room, in all of her shoeless glory. She was half embarassed, but half resigned to the fact that there was no other way she'd have been able to make it back. Soon, the phone in her room was ringing and she discovered she had left her cell phone with a friend. She went downstairs to retrieve it, only to find her friend in the lobby, barefoot, shoes in hand.
Was this a common problem?
Apparently my friend and I (I mean, the women in the story) are not alone, because Erika Wilson developed a product that I just cannot stop raving about. Called Purse Flats, this fantastic product combines supple Italian leather ballet flats with an adorable clutch to make a night out as comfortable as possible. Considering the number of times I've desperately tried to shove a pair of flats into my clutch (always unsuccessfully), I am not at all surprised that someone came up with this idea.

Currently Purse Flats are available in black, but they'll soon be available in brown and white as well. I'm perfectly content with the black, because at the point at which the flats come into play, I don't really care how they look anymore, I just don't want my feet to hurt or to have to go barefoot in a casino.
So, if like me, you are unwilling to give up the perfect shoe for comfort, Purse Flats are for you!
*In the interest of full disclosure, I should tell you that I have a working relationship with Erika, and am looking forward to receiving a trial pair of these comfy flats!
