I can't even begin to tell you how amazing it was to experience Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in the way that I was able to.  Seeing shows like Pamella Roland, Tory Burch, Max Azria (more on that to come!), really brought Fashion to life for me on an entirely different level.  I have so many more shows to cover here, stories to tell, trends to dissect, but in all honesty, I just have to tell you about the amazing time I had at the Project Runway party on Thursday, the last day of Fashion Week.

We were invited to attend an exclusive reception and screening of episode 5 at the Hearst Tower with the designers of and models of Project Runway.  I'll confess that I spent the entire week being extremely excited about watching the newest episode of Project Runway alongside of all of the designers from the show, because, well...how cool is that?!  The hottest party in town was hosted by Lifetime and Marie Claire, and I was so excited to be there alongside my fellow Lifetime Moms Audrey and Lindsay, as well as the two awesome women who won the Project Runway contest at BowlHer during BlogHer, Kari and Casey.  I couldn't resist showing you a picture of the 5 of us!

I had an absolute blast meeting all of the designers and watching them walk the red carpet.  I'll be honest, I was keeping my eyes peeled to see if I could figure out who the winner was, but no dice.  I really just thought I'd be able to figure it out from watching them interact, but I didn't, so my apologies to anyone here looking for answers.  Aside from hanging out with my girls, the highlight of the evening was getting to talk with some of the designers to see what makes them tick. I was incredibly touched by how supportive they all were of each other - there was no animosity (despite what you may see on the show) and it really was sort of like being someone's date to a family reunion.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I'm not sure what that means a video is worth.  However, I videoed the entire night, and put together a fun, fast-moving video montage so that you can feel like you were there, too.  So, here ya go, a behind the scenes look at Project Runway, Season 6!
