I know that my life as a mom is crazy, and while I am incredibly proud of the fact that I am a mom - it doesn't mean I necessarily want to "look" like a mom all of the time. I enjoy finding trends I like, and clothes that fit well, but sometimes there just isn't enough time in the day/week/YEAR to keep up with fashion, which is ever changing. Well, I'm here to help you out on both counts -- helping you to stay fresh and trendy without taking too much time OR breaking the bank. (I know what you're thinking - but yes, it is possible!)
So, you've seen it everywhere. One of the biggest trends for fall. The Military Jacket. Now, before you go rifling around in your parent's closet, you should know that this Military Jacket is sleek, it's fitted, it's -- well, it's downright girly! This isn't your dad's old dusty uniform, my friends. I do think that you should consider spending your hard-earned dollars on one of these babies because I believe it will be one of the most promient pieces for fall. The best part about the military jacket? It goes with the things you already have in your closet! You can make a simple outfit trendy by just throwing on this jacket over a basic top and jeans (or denim leggings, as the style may be!). Jazz it up with boots or heels and some awesome accessories and you’re ready to make a statement.

Don't believe that this trend is already picking up steam? Check out Posh and Beyonce who both were spotted out in this Balmain Military jacket. I believe I prefer the white jacket with the middle panel removed, a la Beyonce. Of course, shoulder pads are also making an appearance again this fall - though I think without the right kind of build, some of us (me included) should probably continue to avoid them. Unless of course I'm drafted into the NFL. Them I'm OK with it.

I love the Qi Navy Cotton Knit Jacket from BlueFly.

If you want to try out this look, but don’t want to spend a fortune, check out this option from Arden B. Priced reasonably at $58, I chose it out of an extensive lineup as one of my favorites before even realizing it was one of the more inexpensive options. I love how it comes together at the waistline with feminine pleats and has the slightest puff to the sleeve. Made of taffeta, you’ll have people thinking you stole your boyfriend’s style, but not his jacket.
